Endometrial Cancer Testing(MPap and RitaPap Test)
Why choose the MPap and RitaPap?
Both the MPap test and the RitaPap test use a less invasive collection methodology to assess risk of endometrial cancer. This involves cervical scraping for the MPap, and the use of a tampon for RitaPap. This unique methylation test delivers fast and reliable results through qPCR and prevents unnecessary invasive endometrial cancer detection procedures such as curettage and hysterectomy.
Innovative
- DNA methylation technology
- Non-invasive sampling
Groundbreaking
- High sensitivity and negative predictive value for both tests
- Screening tool for endometrial cancer
- Supports physician in distinguishing between endometrial cancer and abnormal uterine bleeding
Safety and Comfort
- Cervical scraping for MPap
- Self-collected tampon sampling for RitaPap
- Non-invasive sampling reduces injury and potential for discomfort
Patents and Publications
- IP rights of technical paradigms and risk algorithms have been applied in 20+ countries
- Research articles published in internationally renowned journals, including Clinical Cancer Research, and Clinical Epigenetics
Quality
- Good quality control through TFDA and LDTs approval
What is the procedure for MPap and RitaPap testing?
Patients over 40 years old with abnormal uterine bleeding visits the doctor for endometrial cancer consultation. Patients opting for screening through MPap will have the doctor do a non-invasive cervical scraping using a brush for sample collection. Patients opting for screening through RitaPap will be able to collect the samples themselves using a tampon. The samples will then be sent to the lab for methylation biomarker analysis via bisulfite conversion. Results are available within 2 – 4 days for consultation with a medical doctor.
STEP 01
Professional Consultation- Patients come in for initial consultation with physicians
- Physician explains screening protocol and informed consent
STEP 02
(the first choice)
Specimen Collection(MPap)(the first choice)
- Patients opting for doctor-collection undergo cervical sampling for the MPap
- Sampling for the MPap is done in the clinic
STEP 02
(the second choice)
Specimen Collection(RitaPap)(the second choice)
- Patients opting for self-collection are given the RitaPap sampling kit for sample collection using a tampon
- Sampling for the RitaPap is done at the convenience of the patients’ home
STEP 03
Experiment & Analysis- qPCR preparation via bisulfite conversion
- qPCR amplification
- DNA methylation analysis
STEP 04
Report Interpretation- Patients are notified of results
- Interpretation of lab results are discussed with the patient
- Professional evaluation and suggestions are made to the patient
